Our first featured #VIBEScomposer is Xiaogang Xiang! Xiaogang is a sophomore Computer Music student that wrote a tribute to the video games that were part of our childhood memories; fittingly, this piece is called called called “Mario’s Wacky World”. An excerpt from Xiaogang’s program note: “This is a piece which was made by combining Mario’s voice samples, synths, and electronic software instruments together… I want to look back at memories from those years we spent playing Mario; it brought us so much fun during that time.
